    Once the beginning student has reached Theory Lesson 24 (of 32), the initial speedbuilding materials are mailed.

    StenoMax continues to send all the speedbuilding materials, as needed, until the student passes all the literary, jury charge, and two-voice testimony dictation required for graduation. 

     
    * Currently, all Phoenix dictation is limited to literary material.  StenoMax provides supplemental dictation for jury charge and two-voice testimony as well as additional literary material.

    Transfer Students

    A transfer student is defined as anyone who has completed a realtime theory and is writing at a speed of at least 30 wpm with an accuracy rate of 97.5 percent.  Although, increasingly so, the transfer students enrolling at the StenoMax Institute have learned Phoenix Theory, we can and do accept students who have learned other realtime theories (e.g., StenEd, Digitext, Stenograph).  Depending on the writing speed of a transfer student, the following materials are selected for inclusion in the initial package delivered by USPS priority mail:

    Note: All Phoenix Speed Plus speedbuilding books and tapes are equally effective with whatever theory is being used (e.g., StenEd, Digitext); they are not specific to Phoenix Theory.
